Experienced Laser Applications Engineer Required
This position requires an experienced Laser Applications Engineer to research and develop high power (1-10 kW power) laser applications using the following processes: laser welding, laser cladding, laser hardening. Candidate should possess good interpersonal skills since work will involve dealing directly with customers.
Essential experience: minimum Bachelor's degree in appropriate Engineering or science subject and a minimum of 2 years experience working with high power lasers for materials processing applications.
The ideal candidate will show initiative, possess organization skills and must be able to work independently and as part of a team depending on the specific project. Knowledge and experience working with CAD software and working from design drawings would also be desirable.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with state of the art laser equipment on cutting edge technology projects across a wide range of industrial sectors for a leading research and development organization.
