Rapid Tooling with MELATO®

The process consists of combined technologies for building and finish machining of tools or parts. Within our intensive research in the field of Rapid Tooling a MELATO® CAD/CAM module and several joining methods were developed. The accumulated know-how is reflected in the two patents that have been already granted and five that are pending. We will work with you to develop and implement the appropriate technology chain for your specific application.

Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing with Precision Cast Prototyping (pc_Pro®)

For the generation of plastic prototypes a unique technology was developed. The name pc_Pro® stands for Precision Cast Prototyping. The system consists of a combination of additive and subtractive manufacturing methods. The solution is a low cost system that enables the generation of parts with a high precision. The process chain to generate prototypes is highly shortened, accompanied with the possibility of quick geometrical changes. An automated solution can be used for Rapid Manufacturing as well.

A prototype machine was presented at the Fraunhofer IWS workshop "Rapid Technologies" in Dresden and shown at the Euromold tradeshow in Frankfurt, Germany in December 2004.
