Remote welding of T - node

Beam deflection optic lasertronic® SAO1.06

Fraunhofer Coupled Axes System (CAS) enables "On the Fly" remote welding.

Fraunhofer’s SAO1.06 beam scanning system opens up new possibilities in robot welding. By combining robot motion with beam scanning, travel time between welds is minimized. Beam scanning enables generation of custom weld shapes and precision contours at high speeds.

System Components

  • Beam deflection optic lasertronic® SAO1.06 with up to 3 high dynamic motion axes
  • Fiber coupled high power laser
  • Standard industrial robot
  • PC based controller including offline path planning system "DCAM-CAS"

Operating Mode

  • Precise and fast beam deflection system by galvanometer scanner mirrors
  • Scanning in the multi kW-range using integrated cooling and flow rate control
  • Remote welding "on the fly" with Coupled Axes System (CAS)

Applications

  • Generation of definite processing paths for high speed
    welding, cutting or ablation
  • Generation of different welding geometries
  • Minimizing of positioning time (within 10 ms)
  • Seam tracking with external axes adjustment
